HB 2389 (Marsico) [Commonwealth Law Enforcement Gaming Regulation Act] presentation by Representative Ron Marsico regarding his legislation that would transfer the Bureau of Investigation and Enforcement (BIE) functions to the Gaming Enforcement Office within the Pennsylvania State Police (PSP).
- Summary of HB2389
Senator Jay Costa presentation regarding a two-tier regulatory system (similar to Nevada). It would involve the creation of the PA Gaming Enforcement Agency (a new independent law enforcement agency) responsible for conducting background investigations of applicants for licensure and investigations for criminal violations of the Gaming Act. The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board would be responsible for all licensing decisions and other decisions.
