September 4, 2007 - Senator Earll visited the Mercy Center for Women to present a grant to Hooked On Books! Family Literacy program director, Dr. Dolores Sarafinski (seated) and board member David Holland. The Mercy Center for Women is hosting Hooked on Books! family literacy sessions this fall, in which parents learn how to engage their children in reading and children receive age-appropriate books to keep.  Hooked on Books! is housed at Gannon University, and draws upon volunteers from among the student body and many professionals in the Erie area.  Photo courtesy of Barbara Klaproth, Captured Moments Photography of Erie
