Agenda
Joint Hearing of the
Senate Committee on Community, Economic and Recreational Development
and the
House Gaming Oversight Committee
Tuesday, June 29, 2010 at 9:00 A.M.
Hearing Room 1, North Office Building (Capitol Complex)
The purpose of today’s joint hearing being conducted by the
House Finance Committee and the Senate Committee on Community, Economic and
Recreational Development is to review and consider Economic Development and
Fiscal Accountability legislation represented by
House Bill 2340 (Levdansky) and
Senate Bill 1279 (Browne). These companion bills each require the Department of
Community and Economic Development to submit a unified economic development
budget and provide for the unified reporting of property tax reductions and
abatements for application for economic development subsidies, for reports, for
subsidy limit and job quality standards and for recapture. Additionally, they
establish a private enforcement action and provide for public record disclosure.
